"Incident Compromise" / 2010
Metaphorically speaking, we are all, from one aspect or the other, imprisoned. Physically or mentally, in both larger and smaller scales, we are; captive, trapped, locked up, or perhaps simply just unable to move. Seen from the outside or in retrospective, this is not necessarily a bad thing. When we cannot change a situation, we will transform, adapt and in a very small way confirm our existence and our will to continue life. But when the choice of change no longer has any meaning, when an exterior source has taken away your possibility to continue, there is no longer a transformation for the sake of life or living. There is only a rational or instinctual transformation of accepting, your final departure.
There are many beginnings to an end or an end-station. "Incident Compromised" is the artist?s research portfolio on entrapment, transformation and departing on this subject. The two performers function both as documenters and storytellers, illustrators and narrators, whom through dance, circus, sound and text, are orchestrating the words of an anonymous legion people. Incident compromise is an interdisciplinary performance, using circus, dance and text as its primary means. The production is collaboration between Sudesh Adhana (x-poarts) and Rudi Skotheim Jensen (Works), together with Eos Karlsson, Ulf Knudsen and Tilo Hahn.
