"Spilling the milk and boiling whats left" / 2007

Picture
About the production;
The production was initiated by Rudi Skotheim Jensen, as part of his final exams at the Norwegian Theatre academy. The work was produced partly at KNACK in France and Yakon in Israel at the studios at "Re-action", and performed at "The Open Theatre in Oslo" May 2007.

"Milk is linked to something private, something we drink within the family, it is nutritious and you are given life. As children we get it from our mother, maternal love. After we stop breastfeeding, we get it fresh from a cow, as part of a morning ritual. When children are sick, they might get warm milk with honey, to sweeten the pain. "

The performance is structured like a game, simple rules and the rest appears in improvisation within the game. More then a performance, this piece is an artist talk. With a sense of abstract irony as well as sympathy and serious approach, people open up. This is all about your personal habits, your childhood believes, your motherly believes, your private believes, and everyone off us relate to it. Spilling the milk and boiling what's left is an live interview with different artist for every show. Together with a guest-artist, Rudi Skotheim Jensen loosk into the meaning of milk in our society, as a substance that helps building our physical possibilities.
