"Performing the princess" / 2012
Everyone has a right to dream, each and every single one of us has the right to desire and fantasize in our own perverted way about nasty Mr. Reality. Life is an evil stepmother, but singing dwarfs will aid you on your way. Remember, everything will be okay in the end. If it is not okay, it is simply not the end.
“Performing the princess” is a gift-wrapped fairytale for grownups about the unspeakable imaginary princess-stuff, which no one really wants to put their finger into and talk about. We do. Therefore. Put on your finest garments, saddle the horses and let your jewellery shine shit into gold. Welcome, humbly, to the pinkest ball of the century.
Idea and direction; Rudi Skotheim Jensen
Artistic collaboration and performers; Sven Henriksen and Karl Flyman.
Artistic collaboration, light design and music and performer; Tobias Stål.
Costumes: Camila Sarrazin.
Produced by; Patricia Canellis together with assistant producer Emmy Astbury.
Exquisite production; RSJworks in collaboration with St.Croix.
The extravagant Norwegian Arts Council and the Nordic Arts Council, fondly support the performance. Residences supported by Weld and Østfold theatre. Thanks to the Swedish royalist union and Glimt.
